If you are going to stay in Longyearbyen this is the only hotel to stay in. Great atmosphere and so comfortable. Excellent breakfast and good service from the hotel. I first stayed here 17 years ago and I am still visiting.

Set in the Skjæringa area of Longyearbyen, Mary-Ann's Polarrigg is built with old rigs. Central Longyearbyen is between 6-8 minutes walk away and the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. I liked that it was not in the town and it had a nostalgic look to it. I visited other hotels in town and onece inside they were exactly like hotels every other chain hotel. Maryanns had a cabin looking lounge with sofas and a garden restaurant

Hotelul Radisson Blu Polar este cel mai nordic hotel cu servicii complete din lume, situat în Longyearbyen. The location and the hospitality of the staff. it was immensely clean and there are no adjectives that I can use to describe the place. A definite yes for the same place the next time we visit Svalbard

This hotel is situated on the island of Spitsbergen, in Norway’s Arctic Archipelago, Svalbard. It offers stunning views, free WiFi and free afternoon treats. Access to a relaxation area is also free. Top class hotel and excellent accommodation. Was lucky to stay in a Junior Suite and was well worth it. Welcoming staff and the fact you change from boots to slippers makes it feel like home. Should we return to Svalbard the Funken will be our first and only choice. Loved the breakfast too and the Argentinean waitress was so nice. A friend within minutes.
