We had hiked in from Theth and they offered to pick us up at the trailhead which was very nice, though we decided to just walk it. We had a nice dinner and they arranged our transportation back to Shkoder which was very helpful.

It was absolutely perfect in every way Perfect rooms, nice bar to have some raki at sunset and watch the valley Best view in Valbona as it is higher than all other guest houses. Friendliest people I’ve met in all of Albania. Made me feel at home the minute I got there. Very close to the start of the Valbona-Theth hike.

Initially I was concerned that the accommodation is not right away in Valbona. But it proved to be a big plus. At night you could hear the forest and the river running nearby. The place is new and immaculate, the beds are very comfortable. The owner is a person with a big heart! There is no restaurant at this hotel but he helped us to get to a place that is about 5 minutes drive and we had there one of the best authentic local meals. The same he helped us to order food in the evening. They serve good breakfast and you can have refreshments or a beer from their bar, too. The next day he helped us to go to the start of the hike and also helped us to get mules for the luggage as it proved to be difficult to hike with 2 young kids and backpacks. It is hospitality at its best and in the nicest location. If you want to get a feel for the mountains, stay for a night or two here, just immersed in the nature without much to do or think about.

The place had the best views, such good hosts and amazing food. The staff took care of us and cooked a lot of traditional dishes at a great price. We just wished we stayed more.

The owner was very friendly and we could ask him about hiking tours in the area. Breakfast was a buffet and you could take as much as you wanted. Lunch packages for daily hiking tours were offered optionally. In the evening comfy firepit. The place itself and the view was amazing!
