This property was definitely a highlight of Costa Rica for us. It is close to town but still feels like you’re immersed in nature. The communal kitchen and laundry means the place feels like home and they’re well appointed. The hosts are incredible and can help you organise and transport or tours you’re interested in. The rooms are so comfortable and luxurious and the price is incredible for what you get!

The bungalow apartment is new (6 months) very nice and well equipped (fan + AC + kitchen). It’s in a very calm neighborhood in nature. The host is very nice and friendly, he understands English and his wife speaks English. He’s very careful to speak slowly and with easy words if you want to train your Spanish :) Good breakfast with typical galo pinto + eggs and something else that changes + tea or coffee. We enjoyed our stay :)

The room, facilities, and staff were all incredible! The staff went above and beyond to assist us - they were all really friendly. The hot tub with the view of the volcano was the icing on the cake.

It was very cosy and a nice retreat. You wake up in a park with hummingbirds in front of your door and a great view of the volcano. Then you can hike the Park trails (ca.3h) and experience a hidden jungle, waterfall with a lot of fauna. Also there is a cool viewpoint where you can get a photo of the volcano and the jungle.

They went totally above and beyond our wildest expectations. They fully recognized that we two Floridians (me at 83 & my SO at 71) were not physically up to hiking those steep trails so they made up for it with other activities that we could comfortably handle. While birds are their focus and we saw/photographed many we also saw sloths and various animals and got to sample their local food extensively.
