Set just 38 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort provides accommodation in Habawewa with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as room service. Fantastic! We were a close family group of 7 persons in 3 rooms. You will not be disappointed. It is only 100 metres from NP entrance & lake edge. Magical entry is unique thru bush path that opens onto safari style forest huts in keeping with the secluded setting. The rooms were exceptionally clean, beds comfy with mosquito nets. Ensuite was spotless. The best part was our host Neehal! His limited English was more than made up for by his entusiasm & attention to detail. Were ate all meals on site and were exceptional provided by Sanjay.. Highly reccomended !!! Ask Neehal about our safari guide Bhashi from Visit Wilpattu - our no 1 experience in whole of Sri Lanka.

Wilpattu homestay by Ceylon group is a recently renovated homestay in Wilpattu, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and free bikes. Such a good place to stay! Super friendly owner, full of energy, always smiling and funny guy! Always keen to help in any situation! He also organise safari for you in the best conditions, breakfast and lunch included, good car and good driver. And the food was amazing, big buffet with local food, so tasty! Highly recommend this place, hope to come back one day!

Located in Wilpattu and with Kumbichchan Kulama Tank reachable within 34 km, Glamping Wilpattu by Thamaravila provides express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, pool with a view, free WiFi... Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.

Get up close with wildlife and nature at Leopard Trails Wilpattu, a campsite with tents offering a private bathroom. Leopard Trails was a great spot for the safari drives in Wilpattu. Our host Malmi was very friendly and helpful for our stay, including being our guide on the safari drives - he was very knowledgable and made such an effort with all the wildlife spotting to ensure we saw as much wildlife as possible. The food was delicious with lots of great Sri Lankan dishes. Our room was a tent style room which was comfortable and an enjoyable experience. The camp is in a beautiful, secluded spot. The dinner set up was great - when we came back from the safari drives there was a bar set up for our welcome back, and our table was set up for dinner so nicely with lots of lanterns and a fire, giving a fun and atmospheric environment. The camp is small with 5 tent rooms so the service was nice and personal.

Located on the border of Wilpattu National Park, Big Game - Wilpattu by Eco Team offers spacious tents with an attached partitioned bathroom. Quiet and cozy. The staff was phenomenal. We mistakenly got our dates mixed up (thanks jet lag) and showed up a day early. Staff was very accommodating and we were able to move up our booking by a day. Dinner was lovely and both afternoon and morning safaris were great. We loved our guide!

Located within 35 km of Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 36 km of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, mango villa wilpattu provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Nekattegama. Really good location close to the national Park. We were originally supposed to stay in Green Sapphire but they let us down a few hours before we were due to arrive (seems they’ve done it a lot looking at the Google reviews), but the Mango Villa team had everything sorted even though we booked just a few hours earlier that day they were still able to organise 2 full day safaris for the following 2 days where we saw all sorts of great wildlife. Staff are all really friendly, especially the man who brings the food across in the evenings (unfortunately I don’t know his name). The food is good especially considering the remote location and nice packed lunches for the safari each day. Definitely the place to stay if you’re planning a Wilpattu safari!

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Life of Leisure Wilpattu is set in Pahala Maragahawewa. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. It’s clean and very well maintained. Amazing service. Gentleman, unfortunately we didn’t catch his name, was supporting us throughout all stay. He arranged very tasty bbq and to go breakfast for safari. There are all amenities in this house.

The staff was very friendly and helped set up a safari. Make sure to ask about safari price including or excluding the national park fees. The dinner add on was very delicious!
