Charming small town. Known for wines and Argentinian-style steaks. Many companies offer Winery tours. In our experience (three times) those are designed to drink lots of table wine, but no quality wines. If you really want to taste good wines, arrange to visit any (or all) of the four largest wineries (Aranjuez, Kolberg, Campos de Solana, and La Concepcion) and ask to taste their best wines. You will be surprised how good they are. Don't be afraid to spend a little more. Still a bargain for foreign travelers. You will be disappointed if you take any of the widely publicized "Ruta del Vino" tours, except for the scenery in the cramped vans.
Very nice hotel in a central location, only a few blocks from the main square. The room was clean and we were delighted that they allowed us to check in very early as we had arrived on an overnight bus. The staff were friendly and helpful - they took time to help me activate a local SIM which was much appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good with hot water. The WiFi worked very well for us. Breakfast was served buffet style and was tasty.
Such a beautiful and unique space, and a privilege to have it all to ourselves! It has
Fruit trees, birds, pool, and a beautiful courtyard to relax & unwind.
The breakfast was lovely & the hosts could not have been more helpful;) They gave us tips about the area and our onward travels around Bolivia… even helped us find the right bus & time plus ordered a taxi for us.
Perfect change from the normal hostel/hotel type accommodation
We booked this hotel for it's location and it did not disappoint. It was very easy to walk to restaurants and attractions. The pool and other facilities were very nice. Breakfast was great- we did not eat dinner at the hotel so I cannot comment on the restaurant in the hotel. The staff was kind enough to call us taxis when we needed one and to let us store our bags on our last day since our flight was late in the afternoon.
We were looking for some time away form noise and traffic and found it at Eduardos place. It has pretty much camping atmosphere (so you need to like that) and enjoyed our time there very much. I would like to point out how helpful Eduardo was explaining how to connect with Tarija 14 kms away, get our tours booked, taxi service to bus terminal etc etc etc

The hotel is very well located in the middle of the downtown area, within two blocks of the main square, market, restaurants, cafes and shops. The price range is definitely affordable. Staff was friendly enough and made some efforts to accommodate our original requests.
The volunteer staff appeared like they did not want to work. The girl with really curly hair from Argentina and her Argentinian best friend/boyfriend were very lazy and rude. The main guy at the front desk, who seemed like he was from Tarija was super nice though.
The place is big enough for a family, clean, modern and has all necessary accessories. we fully recommend to stay here and we will definitely take the flat again when we visit Tarija. Daniela the host is really friendly and helpful.
