The room was great for a family and the Carriage House had a nice entrance area with tea and coffee and space to sit. As we were travelling with others staying at the property this was a nice place to meet up.

Everything: it is clean, great location, has coffee maker fridge and microwave, wifi, desk, complimentary breakfast, it is a classic motel-style place, so doesn't have that impersonal feel of a chain. Staff friendly, and just a good vibe. It is an older building but well kept up, freshly painted. Lots of hot water, tub, AC. Location is excellent, a drive of just minutes from downtown Brunswick and Bowdoin College. We have stayed here multiple times. Oh yeah and they even have laundry machines.
Brunswick is a little jewel of a town. It has Bowdoin University. College towns are usually wonderful places. Brunswick is well situated in the exceedingly lovely Casco Bay Region with a great shoreline and very picturesque islands. Brunswick has great restaurants and many amenities.

I know Brunswick well as I lived in Bath.
I know Brunswick well as I lived in Bath. I was just staying overnight in the motel after loading truck for my move to another state. It is a pleasant college town, but that makes the motels there expensive.

Brunswick is very nice, but do not stay at the Rodeway Inn.
Brunswick is very nice, but do not stay at the Rodeway Inn. We had no hot water for a shower. The owner refused to give us a discount. He did not come to the room first to check the water, but went to his control room and then must have adjusted the switch to give us hot water. He was defensive. The window sill had rotted wood, a filty venetian blind and ther was no kleenex in the room. The breakfast was mediocre.

Brunswick is a great starting point - it is not far from Georgetown where Reid State Park (and Popham Beach) are - highly recommend a visit to Reid (or Popham) if you are in the area. Stop at the Georgetown pottery on the way - they have beautiful pottery at reasonable prices. I am sure I am not doing the town or location justice. I was just in the area to visit Reid (a family favorite) I would love to be there now.

La Pasta restaurant - small, delicious food, but waiting line.
Dolphin Marina at tip of Harpswell Peninsula is well worth the drive.

Historic college town. Lots of New England charm.
Historic college town. Lots of New England charm. Good variety of excellent restaurants. Seafood, of course, but a nice variety of ethnic cuisines. For antiques, don't miss the Cabot Mill Antiques Mall. L L Bean is nearby, in Freeport.

A reasonably quiet stay except for the rude muffler-free motorcycle riders who insisted on revving outside the window at all hours, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. Bed was comfortable and the place was clean. It was a stop on our journey, so didn't hang around at all; just stayed the night. Located near shops and restaurants, so close to gas stations, breakfast and dinner.
We were looking for a quality hotel that would not break the bank, was relatively close to Portland and not too long a drive from Bar Harbor. This fit the bill. We were happily surprised when we arrived to see that it is quite a lovely hotel.
My big surprise was that there were wrapped Udi’s gluten free bagels and blueberry muffins at breakfast. Such a wonderful treat.
Breakfast was surprisingly good, simple but good. The room was specious and looked newly renovated, everything was spotless. We also used a washing machine twice - super convenient.
Walking distance to a few restaurants and a 25-30 min walk to the center of Brunswick, which was actually really nice with a few good restaurants and cafes.
It combines the 19th-century charm of the main house with very modern rooms in adjacent buildings. The location overlooking the green is ideal and extremely convenient to Bowdoin College campus and many shops and restaurants on Maine Street. The Brunswick train station is about 100 yards away, an easy walk.
While it is a little expensive, at least during summer festival season, the Brunswick is perfectly situated for guests attended the Bowdoin Music Festival - it's just a stroll across the street and you are on campus and on your way to festival venues. The restaurant is also very good.
Travelers Inn is by far the best motel we’ve ever stayed in in Brunswick or beyond. Clean, newly renovated, comfortable. Heat and cooling excellent and beds very comfortable. if you’re staying in Brunswick area, this is the motel for you! Our thanks to the proprietors.
Good hotel for a 1 night stay on our way through the area. Breakfast was great, room was comfortable and shower was awesome, although the room was a little tired. Friendly and helpful staff and a convenient store just a couple of minutes walk away.
The Federal was a beautiful hotel with lovely art work and a cosy comfortable foyer. The rooms were equally good. comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and with well designed bathrooms.
The staff were friendly and helpful and were very welcoming.
The air conditioner/fan was outrageously loud. Like having a loud vacuum cleaner on, and the room has no other ventilation. We spent an uncomfortable humid night. Otherwise, the room was standard decent chain hotel quality.
We were very late because my sisters bus was delayed by over 4 hours. We got in touch with the hotel and they made arrangements for late entry.
The person who checked us in was so helpful and friendly at about midniggt.
We stayed at this location several times before and always find it to be clean, comfortable and pleasant. We have family in Brunswick and intend to visit your hotel again. Thank you for your service!
I didn’t like that nobody was at the hotel at the time I arrived. That created a big problem with my reservations.
Also nobody was at the hotel to ask
Or do something for us.
The Brunswick Hotel is a gorgeous boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I appreciated that they texted to welcome me. The breakfast muffins were fabulous.
