Best Western Plaza Hotel Saugatuck, hotel in Saugatuck

Located off Blue Star Highway, this hotel is less than 5 minutes’ drive from Saugatuck town centre. It features an indoor pool with a hot tub, a daily continental breakfast and a fitness room.

Well, it’s very dated/tired as you’ll see from the photos. The predominantly brown and red theme is hard on the eyes and unappealing. However - I knew this when I booked. The room was spotlessly clean, shower was good, reception staff pleasant on check in. Breakfast was okay - included in the room rate. Decent value for money overall.

The Belvedere Inn and Butler Restaurant were a great Monday combination. The beach hike at the state park was very fun and the beach looked beautiful, but unfortunately we weren't dressed for sun and sand.

We fell in love with Saugatuck.

We fell in love with Saugatuck. The town is very charming, the architecture is fun, and the neighborhoods are very lush and full of pretty styling and gardens. We loved Oval Beach and hiked Mt Baldy, the restaurants we dined at were fabulous, and the shops were very cute. We ate at both Pumpernickel and Pennyroyal and loved both. We also visited Holland and Douglas, but Saugatuck was the clear winner.

    Saugatuck is a tourist town.

Saugatuck is a tourist town. It has a large variety of places to eat, drink and many, many options for ice cream. It seems a perfect place for a slow, relaxing summer vacation. Main attractions are eating, drinking, boating and going to the beach. Otherwise, bring a good book and relax.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Saugatatuck at the Arrowhead Resort. The location was great and was within walking distance to “town”. The walk along the water is very pretty. We liked everything about the area. We were there at a good time (mid May) with very little crowds. According to some of the shop owners it does get quite crowded in the summer time. We will definitely be back!

Quaint, beautifully decorated, historical home, well kept in a perfect location! Breakfast was included and exceptional. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly! Loved everything about it! Already planning our next visit. Everything was so close and easy to travel to. My husband and I planned to spend 2 days in Holland exploring the tulip fest but chose to spend an entire day near the Maplewood exploring the beautiful neighborhood, waterfront and shops instead. Ideal getaway!

Saugatuck is one of our favorite places on Earth .. have visited for more than 30 years and always have a great time downtown shopping, dining and just just walking around and enjoying the beauty of the town. Close to Lake Michigan and some of the best beaches in America.

The location of the hotel near Saugatuck was perfect it's just a 5-minute car ride to where everything is at so you're away from all the craziness of downtown Saugatuck also the room was perfectly a good-sized very comfortable and their pool is a very good size compared to the other swimming pools in the area which was super small so if you have children this is a great thing and the front of adults as well

The location is nice. It overlooks the Kalamazoo River and views he downtown waterfront of Saugatuck and is a very short drive to downtown. You can take a short walk to Mt. Baldhead (2-3 minutes) and from there climb 300+ stair steps to the top. From the top you can walk down the sand dune to Oval Beach. Also, you are minutes away from dozens of very good restaurants in Saugatuck or Douglas.

Great location. Right on the lake. It had beautiful views. The place was super clean. The bedding was really comfortable and soft. It had everything we needed. A lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Would highly suggest going to the Saugatuck Dunes State Park! The hike to the Beach is great and once you get there the view is amazing of Lake MI!

Great location off the highway and near Douglas and a few minutes away from Holland, nicely built cabin with functional appliances and comfy bedrooms, definitely a great place for families to stay at in lieu of a hotel that would have costed 200+ a night that would not have the same amenities.

Quiet and cozy place to stay. Breakfast was wonderful. We were visiting for the Tulip Festival in nearby Holland. The Belvedere offered a nice central location to visit the festival, oval beach, and Saugatuck
