Beautiful surroundings both indoors and outdoors. The room was exceeding our expectation and the service was amazing. The garden was so beautiful I could have spent a day in it together with the bar. All very zen. Love to come back!

Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei -Age Requirement 12 over- has a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Kyoto. Amazingly helpful staff that made reservations at great restaurants. Beautiful breakfast restaurant overlooking a lovely garden. Great food. Lovely Japanese touches to the architecture and rooms. Perfect location for exploring Kyoto's sights.

What an exceptional room. The combination of traditional (tatami) and modern was beautifully done. And the staff and facilities were second to none.

In a prime location in the Sakyo Ward district of Kyoto, Giappo Franca Kyoto is situated less than 1 km from Shoren-in Temple, a 14-minute walk from Heian Shrine and 1.2 km from Gion Shijo Station. Giappo Franca is on a quiet road and still close to everything. When I arrived, the staff were extremely helpful and explained everything I might need to know. Sylvia told me about an art show the hotel was hosting and explained the artist's series of the places in Japan from Tokyo to Kyoto. Very cool indeed. My room was spacious, clean and covered in tatami mats and it even smelled good. I had a Japanese bed and there were instructions on how to use a futon. The bathroom had a nice Japanese bath and nice soaps and shampoo available. There was even a cute little outdoor sitting area outside my room. I had an early flight out of Kansai International Airport and the staff could not have been more helpful in assisting me in finding the best way to get there. Domo arigato gozaimasu, grazie, merci Giappo Franca.

Situated in Kyoto and with Kyoto Imperial Palace reachable within 1.8 km, Kamo Residences by Reflections features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and... Lovely location away from touristy spots but still only a ten minute taxi ride to Gion. Great to watch the local people on the river and to see the black kites. Breakfast delivered to our apartment every morning … a nice touch. One of us developed a chest infection while staying .. the staff went to extraordinary lengths to help us with the doctor and made sure we were ok. Delightful people.

The location and the map that they gave me, it was super helpful. The owner were so nice and explained everything in an easy way. The room has a beautiful view.

Our favourite stay during our trip to Japan. The hosts were very welcoming and always happy to help us with our questions! I would recommend this guest house to anybody considering to visit Kyoto. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but not too far from some major tourist attractions. The hosts also suggested a walk around the neighbourhood with some lovely quiet/calm temples.

It's more like an Airbnb accommodation with all necessary facilities provided such as Washing machine, dryer, oven for long stay. It's clean & spacious compared with the rest of the accommodation we stayed in Japan. Friendly staffs & all fluent in English with good service provided & always react to our request promptly.
