Giappo Franca is on a quiet road and still close to everything. When I arrived, the staff were extremely helpful and explained everything I might need to know. Sylvia told me about an art show the hotel was hosting and explained the artist's series of the places in Japan from Tokyo to Kyoto. Very cool indeed. My room was spacious, clean and covered in tatami mats and it even smelled good. I had a Japanese bed and there were instructions on how to use a futon. The bathroom had a nice Japanese bath and nice soaps and shampoo available. There was even a cute little outdoor sitting area outside my room. I had an early flight out of Kansai International Airport and the staff could not have been more helpful in assisting me in finding the best way to get there. Lovely location away from touristy spots but still only a ten minute taxi ride to Gion. Great to watch the local people on the river and to see the black kites. Breakfast delivered to our apartment every morning … a nice touch. One of us developed a chest infection while staying .. the staff went to extraordinary lengths to help us with the doctor and made sure we were ok. Delightful people.

Guest House Nishimura - Vacation STAY 13438 ligger mindre end 1 km fra Heian-helligdommen og 14 minutters gang fra Eikan-do Zenrin-ji-templet i Kyoto. The location and the map that they gave me, it was super helpful. The owner were so nice and explained everything in an easy way. The room has a beautiful view.

The bathroom and fully-equipped kitchen facilities were splendid, making it feel like a genuine home away from home in Japan. Yet, what truly set this stay apart was the genuine warmth and kindness of Tadashi and Yuki, the hosts. Their joyful welcome, attentiveness to my every need, and daily surprises with delightful treats created a memorable experience. They even arranged to dry my soaked sneakers overnight, an unexpected gesture of kindness. If you're seeking a relaxed and convenient place to stay in Kyoto, you've just discovered it. It's clean & spacious compared with the rest of the accommodation we stayed in Japan. Friendly staffs & all fluent in English with good service provided & always react to our request promptly.
