Το Takao Kanko Hotel απέχει 600μ. από το ναό Jingo-ji και προσφέρει δωμάτια ιαπωνικού στιλ με θέα στο ποτάμι και ιδιωτικό μπάνιο. An amazing stay. Very warm welcome, food was amazing, a wonderful ryokan experience. Will recommend and hopefully return.

Located in a quiet area surrounded by nature and a river, very peaceful and relaxing. Staff were proactive and helpful, made us feel at ease. A few temples nearby within walking distance if you want to go sightseeing.

If you're looking for a good ryokan experience I think this one would be a good choice. My group used the shuttle service to get to and out of the ryokan without any issues. At the ryokan itself, the staff was very attentive, friendly and nice and did their best to communicate with us using English. I really cannot overstate how great they were. Our shabu-shabu dinner as well as the breakfast was very good, I think the portions size was also quite great. Rooms were nice, had a great view, but I will say the bath in the japanese room might need some renovation work. Speaking of baths, if you have to ability to book the private bath, I highly recommend to do so. The building itself is rather old but it doesn't mean it isn't charming in a specific.way. Overall we stayed only one night but were fully relaxed and recharged before our next trip.

Το Ryokan Yamazaki απέχει 10 λεπτά οδικώς από το ναό Kinkaku-ji και προσφέρει ζεστό δημόσιο λουτρό, πρωινό και παραδοσιακά δείπνα με επιπλέον χρέωση. Great decision to stay here. Our room was overlooking the gorge and wooded area behind the property, and I went to sleep every night hearing nothing but the babbling brook outside our window. JR and city buses will get you downtown or to the other attractions in the area. Very good Japanese breakfast.
