El Takao Kanko Hotel está situado a 600 metros del templo de Jingo-ji. Ofrece habitaciones de estilo japonés con vistas al río y baño privado. An amazing stay. Very warm welcome, food was amazing, a wonderful ryokan experience. Will recommend and hopefully return.

El Momojiya Annex está situado junto al río Kiyotakigawa y ofrece habitaciones tradicionales con bañera privada al aire libre y vistas al bosque. The location was breathtaking! The personal was really kind. Everything was just perfect. El onsen privado vale mucho la pena, el personal es súper amable y la experiencia de la cena es muy tradicional y muy rica.

If you're looking for a good ryokan experience I think this one would be a good choice. My group used the shuttle service to get to and out of the ryokan without any issues. At the ryokan itself, the staff was very attentive, friendly and nice and did their best to communicate with us using English. I really cannot overstate how great they were. Our shabu-shabu dinner as well as the breakfast was very good, I think the portions size was also quite great. Rooms were nice, had a great view, but I will say the bath in the japanese room might need some renovation work. Speaking of baths, if you have to ability to book the private bath, I highly recommend to do so. The building itself is rather old but it doesn't mean it isn't charming in a specific.way. Overall we stayed only one night but were fully relaxed and recharged before our next trip.

El Ryokan Yamazaki, situado a 10 minutos en coche del templo Kinkaku-ji, ofrece un baño público caliente y sirve desayunos y cenas tradicionales por un suplemento. Great decision to stay here. Our room was overlooking the gorge and wooded area behind the property, and I went to sleep every night hearing nothing but the babbling brook outside our window. JR and city buses will get you downtown or to the other attractions in the area. Very good Japanese breakfast.
