The view was great, the beds were comfy, they gave us tickets to go to the main onsen which was amazing and they even rented us some snow shoes to go walking around the ski resort. Nice place to stay I recommend and I would come again.

We loved the subtile and tasteful architecture of the place. Everything was beautiful in its simplicity. The private onsen was fantastic especially with the forest in the background. Everything was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The staff was so kind and provided a perfect service. Food was excellent.

Yunohirakan ligger i bydelen Okuhida Onsen i Takayama, 29 km fra friluftsmuseet Hida Minzoku Mura. Der tilbydes værelser med aircondition og gratis WiFi. Der er gratis privat parkering på stedet. Amazing service and amazing meals!! For such a good price I did not expect to get so much food for dinner and experience such a nice, clean well-kept ryokan. There are 3 private onsens which are very easy to reserve. Very spacious onsens and was great for my partner and I who have tattoos. The host was also very friendly and made a lot of effort to converse with us and my limited Japanese. I really enjoyed my stay here and would love to go back!

Oyado Eitaro ligger i bydelen Okuhida Onsen i Takayama og tilbyder gratis kildevand fra 2 forskellige varme kilder og skiopbevaringsrum. Der er gratis privat parkering på stedet. There was a lot to like about Oyado Eitaro. The location is very convenient - only a five (maybe less) minute walk from the bus center. We dropped off our luggage before checking in and later found the bags in our room. The dinner was a wonderful experience and was probably some of the best food we had on our trip. It was a great way to try many different dishes, all of them well prepared. Breakfast was a similar experience. Both the public and private onsens were very relaxing and very clean. Overall an amazing experience. If we ever come back to the area, we’ll be looking to rebook Oyado Eitaro.

Tabist Kazeyuki i Takayama tilbyder indkvartering kun for voksne med gratis cykler, have og fælles opholdsstue. Det var rent og medarbejderne var meget søde, og dejligt med onsen.

Hirayukan ligger i Takayama, blot 35 km fra Takayama Station, og tilbyder indkvartering med bjergudsigt, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. After hiking at kamakochi; very nice onsen, all you can eat buffet with traditional japanese food, very comfy bed, japanese style room, massage chairs, you get japanese pyamas where you can walk all day in (even to the restaurant). Completly relaxing.

Tsuyukusa ligger nord for skiområdet Hirayu Hot Spring og 1 minuts gang fra busterminalen Hirayu Onsen. Der er en naturlig varm kilde på stedet. We love the facilities at the kitchen as they allow us access to things. They also gave us surprise bread for breakfast and free flow of tea and coffee. The room was clean and comfortable. Great location as it's close to the bus terminal to Kamikochi and close to restaurants. And we love the Onsen there as it was authentic and private as you can have it all to yourself. And the couple who run this place couldn't speak a word of English but their service is great!

A 3-minute walk from Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal, Okada Ryokan Warakutei features Japanese-style accommodations with mountain views. I and my husband enjoyed every minute of staying. We liked such as the location, services, breakfast, bath house at early in the morning and more for sure.

Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort ligger i de rolige Hida-bjergene og har traditionelle værelser med bad med vand fra varme kilder og udsigt over landskabet. The onsens, dinner and breakfast excellent, Relaxing atmosphere! Beautiful Ryukan!

På Nakamurakan kan gæsterne slappe af i de indendørs/udendørs varme kilder og nyde traditionelle flerretters måltider med en Nakai-san personlig ledsager. The staff here were soooo friendly and helpful. Most of the front desk staff speak decent English and are super helpful. My fiance felt that the privaye onsen was a bit too hot and they were very quick in allowing us to use another one with slightly milder temperatures. The numerous reviews of the lack of cleanliness in the hotel have either been overstated or addressed. The room was very large and clean. The reviews of the onsen having algae are understandably ignorant, the algae is something that onsen enthusiasts enjoy because it (supposedly) has incredibly positive effects on your skin, and is a sign that the onsen water has not been treated with harsh chemicals. The food was incredible and you should definitely opt for the half board. Both breakfasts and dinners we had were a huge spread and very filling, we did have issues breathing after finishing our meals. It is regrettable that there are so many negative reviews which I feel are quite unfair after staying here, as they definitely did make me second guess my choice to stay here. The place has been a bit worn with age but this has only lent to its charm. The futon beds were very comfortable, and better than the ones we slept on at more expensive ryokans. I wish that the gift shop was a bit more well stocked. I hope to return to see this establishment rejuvenated in the future. Perhaps if the garden was restored and certain parts of the hotel refreshed, it would be a truly exceptional stay.
