Great for an overnight stop on our way back from the Salzburg area. The owner met us at the door at the appointed arrival time and said that he had given us an upgrade - we were amazed at the size of the apartment and the huge covered balcony area. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The owner has wine and beer on sale and also pointed us in the direction of the very good local supermarket for breakfast the next day (Sunday) . Looks like a lovely area with plenty to do on a longer break. It was just a 5 hour jaunt back to Eurotunnel the next day, via Luxembourg to fill up with diesel!

Good connected to the rest of the city. WiFi was good too. Bed was comfortable and in the room there were coffee and tea included. Super close to the center but yet very quiet. I would come back.

The IntercityHotel Saarbrücken provides air-conditioned room, a bar, a restaurant, a 24-hour reception, room service and free WiFi. The team were excellent, good breakfast but one of the two coffee machines was turned off with the explanation that there were not enough people having breakfast to turn on the second machine; the next morning there were twice the number and the machine was still off! Eggs were often lukewarm, but these are minor, overall this was a great place to stay - the bowl of chili was outstanding! Can't say enough about the hotel staff, always helpful.

Located 700 metres from Congress Hall, Holiday Inn Express - Saarbrücken offers rooms with air conditioning in Saarbrücken. The hotel is clean, spacious, well lit and has easy access to the stairs and elevator. The breakfast selections were many, including fresh fruit. Electric kettle was in the room to make some morning coffee or tea, and lots of coffee options in the breakfast area, as well. The room was clean and well lit, and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to have a full length mirror in the room as well as good lighting in the bathroom for cosmetic needs. The hotel is close to some great restaurant options—as close as a 5 minute walk. And only a 9 minute walk to the Saarbrucken train station! The staff was very attentive and spoke English, which was super helpful as I have no German language skills! Because I am an ICG member, I was able to extend my check-out time by a couple of hours to accommodate a later departing train time. I appreciated being able to wait there rather than drag my luggage around town for two hours, passing time before catching my train.
