Location was ideal for visiting other places and a beautiful setting especially the sunrise on a good day... comfortable, relaxing house and room, very quiet...hosts Ben and V were very welcoming and nothing was too much if needed anything . breakfast was fab especially the toast...lovely local pub within walking distance The Pheasant inn... great value for money would definitely book again.

The Dash Farmhouse offers self-catering accommodation just 4 miles from Bassenthwaite village, 37 km from Windermere. The property is set in 200 acres of farmland and features free private parking. The location is really great. You can start walking the Skiddaw fells right from the house. And the views (scotland is even visible on clear days) are stunning. There are no other houses/people nearby so it is wonderfully quiet, only the sounds of the sheep, chickens and the weather. The house is wonderfully warm and with excellent kitchen facilities.

Lakeside Country Guest House is situated in front of Bassenthwaite Lake with mountain views which can be enjoyed from the front bedrooms. It is ideally located between from Keswick and Cockermouth. Karen and Tim were such great hosts. They made us feel right at home. Breakfast was outstanding!!! We loved the location. Our view was so beautiful. The grounds were filled with flowers and so well taken care of. This was a great place to stay. We enjoyed everything and would not hesitate to come back.
