You can start walking the Skiddaw fells right from the house. And the views (scotland is even visible on clear days) are stunning. There are no other houses/people nearby so it is wonderfully quiet, only the sounds of the sheep, chickens and the weather. The house is wonderfully warm and with excellent kitchen facilities.

They made us feel right at home. Breakfast was outstanding!!! We loved the location. Our view was so beautiful. The grounds were filled with flowers and so well taken care of. This was a great place to stay. We enjoyed everything and would not hesitate to come back.

Bassenthwaite'de yer alan Fell Foot - Ukc5294, bahçeli bir tesistir. World of Beatrix Potter 46 km, Cat Bells 16 km ve Whinlatter Forest Park 17 km uzaklıktadır. Accommodation was excellent, everything you needed under one small roof!! The location was superb with lovely surrounding views, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Apple Tree Cottage, a property with a garden, is set in Bassenthwaite, 42 km from Askham Hall, 47 km from World of Beatrix Potter, as well as 18 km from Whinlatter Forest Park. Our stay at Apple Tree Cottage was thoroughly enjoyable. The property was very well looked after and immaculately clean. The owner who greeted us was friendly and pleasant and supplied us with a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the finishing touches such as a welcome note with our names written on the front door porch blackboard. It was a nice thought and made us feel special. Thank you. 😊👌
