Lovely hotel, welcomes dogs, very clean and comfy rooms and bed. parking right outside the room. door straight to outside was very convenient. Smashing area near to the forest of dean, lydney harbour, and many interesting heritage sites. contactless check in. we needed a vets during our stay and one was literally next door but one and fitted us in straight away. tesco local to the hotel for fuel and shopping, great town with shops cafes and takeaways, the chip shop is highly recommended, as is the hotel.
We stayed 3 nights at the Loft. It is a superb apartment, clean and spacious, and perfectly located to explore the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley (including attractions like Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey) as they are only a short drive away. Although we did not meet our hosts personally, communication with them by e-mail was easy and they were really helpful. The biscuits, tea, and coffee were a nice welcome touch.
Coleford
Pomegranate House is a self catering apartment but the hosts leave items for breakfast such as cereal, bread and jam, coffee, tea and milk which is a nice, welcoming touch. The apartment is beautifully furnished and well equipped. I stayed here five years ago when visiting England from Canada and was pleased it was available when I visited England and the Forest of Dean again this year.
Cinderford
Wow, where to start? Luxury modern converted apartments in a beautiful location. V welcoming and helpful owners. Apartment itself had everything you needed - v high spec, quiet, spacious. A very relaxing place to stay but only a 15 min drive to many great places eg forest of Dean for walking/mountain biking. I would stay here again

The staff were very helpful and attentive, the breakfast was lovely, the parking and free WiFi were all great and the room was basically fine. The complementary stroop waffles were much appreciated! The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of the Forest of Dean, making it easy to get to the schools we were visiting for work.
Ross on Wye
There is no denying the Hostelrie is in a beautiful location with friendly and for the most part helpful staff. Our second room was very nice and the surroundings and access to the forest of Dean are great. The pub and restaurant space are well set out and everything looks great. We enjoyed the food and the breakfast was good.
Good, plentiful breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Very close to R Wye + riverside walks. Would be excellent for canoeing. Within easy driving distance to Monmouth town, Ross on Wye, Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat Rock. The hotel had lovely, clean, well decorated public rooms including a dance hall for functions.
The room had the wow factor and was lovely and spacious, definately classic with modern thrown in, some of the original features of the building were displayed in parts of the hotel. Home cooked food was beautiful, the deserts should be showcased in a magazine and overall perfect location for the Forest of Dean.
We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Forest of Dean. The busy hotel is in the centre of town which is easy to walk around. Our room was large and comfortable, with a nice bath. Dinner was served in a neat dining room and was typical hearty pub food. Breakfast was cooked to order and tasty.
Location was excellent,a beautiful old Elizabethan manor….plenty of parking..breakfast and dinners were really good….staff at hotel were most helpful and service at breakfast and dinner prompt…we had a very pleasant stay…..excellent place to stay to visit the Wye valley and Forest of Dean.
A great location for touring the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, the hotel with its adjoining golf course, was a perfect accompaniment, welcoming, helpful and friendly staff, an on-site club-house provided good meal options from bar-meals through to he main restaurant.
Very well kept hotel with lots of fascinating artefacts.Easy to find excellent place to use as a base to explore the Forest of Dean. Other Hotels exists in and around The Forest but if you decide to stay at "Littledean House" you will not be disappointed.
Coleford
It was very well set up and provisioned, and very welcoming. Felt like a home. The position was fantastic in the centre of such a lovely village. It was very easy to explore the forest of dean from this central location. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic location, quirky and very different old building, very interesting property, quiet even though in town. Friendly helpful staff.
