The Basalt crew handled our situation really well. Our room was exceptionally huge for its size. We loved the view of our room and we even had daily housekeeping. The outdoor hot tub was something we enjoyed using, especially after a long day out. Hotel breakfast was ok, good to have.

Located on Snæfellsnes peninsula, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and rooms with mountain views and free WiFi access. Stykkishólmur town centre is a 25-minute drive away. Friendly staff. Cozy and quiet room with all facilities. We felt very much at home there. Great location for visiting Snaefellsness. The rooms were at the back of a very welcoming café/restaurant. It was great to have these on site. The food was excellent. We were very pleased we were given our room 1 hour early since we flew in that morning from Denver and had missed the night.
