Set on a hillside 2 km from the centre of Sorrento, Hotel La Badia offers an outdoor swimming pool, air-conditioned accommodation and a terrace with panoramic views of the Bay of Naples. La Badia is a lovely family run hotel in a beautiful setting with a stunning view over the Sorrento bay. We had a fantastic 4 night stay there and absolutely loved it. It can be a challenge getting in to town if you don’t have a car as it is on a hill just out of town, but the bus stop is right there and the buses very regular and easy to catch! You can walk down to Marina Grande from the hotel which has a lovely little beach where you don’t pay. The staff are the stars of the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly and helpful! My wheel on my bag broke and they got the maintenance guy to try and fix it! The first night we were very tired, having travelled from Cape Town so they ordered in pizzas for us! Maria, Fabrizio, Michaela, Giuseppe in the dining room, and co were all awesome!! The room was great and the breakfast, delicious, with croissants fresh and warm from the oven! Lovely pool! I would go back there in a heartbeat!!

Fico D'India Relais offers a welcoming environment surrounded by nature. The establishment is also famous for its delicious cuisine. The staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was amazing. Note: Gnocchi & fried mixed fish were our favorite. It's close to the Sita bus stop (uphill from the hotel). The view was great. 20 minutes from Amalfi. Quite and nice neighborhood with groceries and rental scooter nearby.
