Ristorante Albergo Gerardo Di Masi has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Caposele. The boss is excellent, cos the weather is super cold. He asked whether the room is enough warm. And he arranged the car to pick me up from Benevento station to his hotel. It costs 200 euro for return trip, very considerably. Otherwise, I have no idea how to get to the hotel, cos it’s Saturday, car rental completely is not opening during weekend. So thankful for his help. 🥰

Surrounded by the green hills of Irpinia at 3 km from Grottaminarda, Hotel Regina Di Saba offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Its restaurant serves typical local cuisine. Breakfast was brilliant and consisted of hot pancakes and a hot pastry as well. A very nice coffee that Giuseppe made to order exactly how each of us wanted.. there was also juice and toastini with a variety of jams. It was a hearty start to the day.. the rooms were also huge with plenty of storage and lightning fast wifi. Lots of places to park too. Dinner was also a real treat as Giuseppe walked us to his family run restaurant which is close by and where we served up a proper traditional Italian style feast.

This town is nothing special but it is convenient to the birthplace of my parents. Ariano Irpino is too difficult to find a simple hotel so we chose this location. The room was simple but perfect. The restaurant served one of our best meals of this trip. And the prices were sinfully small. Think if the best Holiday Inn Express ,but with a super high quality restaurant with better food than grand mother's best.
