The location is the best, beside the train station and walking distance to the old village. Very friendly staff. Also spacious room with the facilities and washing machine. I highly recommend this place!

時のホテル is situated in Toki, within 44 km of Nagoya Station and 45 km of Aeon Mall Atsuta. The property is around 41 km from Oasis 21, 42 km from Toyota Stadium and 42 km from Nagoya Castle. Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

Featuring a bar, Mercure Hida Takayama is set in the centre of Takayama, 200 metres from Takayama Station. This hotel ticks all the boxes - easily 10/10. A short walk to the main station and a very central location. We were able to fortunately check in 1h early after a long and early journey without additional surcharge, unlike what is common with other hotels now. The yukata provided in room were very luxurious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious by Japanese standards. I will keep an eye out for this chain hotel’s other locations in the future.

Set in Nakatsugawa, 13 km from Ōi, Onn nakatsugawa offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. Hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful. If driving, you can temporarily park in front of hotel and offload bags, then park in nearby lot for 500 yen. Hotel is connected to and has free access to a beautiful and delightful public onsen bath. There is a washer and dryer on both the men’s and women’s side of the bath, but no coin changer. You probably need to bring laundry soap as well. Delicious Japanese breakfast for about 1000 yen per person.

Okuhida garden hotel yakedake is surrounded by nature and is located near Hirayu onsen. It is tucked away in the lap of nature and the rooms have a beautiful view with balcony. The rooms are typical Rokyon style and the amenities provided is ample. Stayed here after hiking Mt hotaka in kamikochi and I couldn't have asked for a better place to relax. I would definitely recommend okuhida garden to my fellow travelers.

We traveled with a toddler and this is no easy feat but the hotel had a designated play room with books, toys galore, coloring materials, stuffed animals and even a ball pit! The onsen was so relaxing after a long day of walking and the views are spectacular. If you enjoy a good breakfast then you’re in luck because the buffet offers not only a good variety but also quality. The shuttle service was really the star, without it this place would be out of the way. I would stay here again!
