Château Wittem is situated in the Geul Valley, a 20-minute drive from Maastricht, Aachen and Valkenburg. The property is surrounded by a large parkland with age-old trees and castle moats. It felt a little bit like staying at Hogwarts: the castle, the park around, the carefully prepared slippers and towels after dinner (as if by the house elves), delicious breakfast and dinner and very helpful staff.

This 4-star hotel, in a peaceful green setting in Heijenrath, is 1.5 km from Slenaken. Best Western has a spacious terrace with panoramic views over the valley. Spotlessly clean. Brilliant, polite courteous staff and that includes every single member of staff that we encountered Our room was upgraded and we were so grateful. Beautiful breakfast. Highly recommended and we will return again definitely. We loved the Christmas decorations and Nativity scenes. Thank you.

Don't expect hyper modern, but spacious, clean and familiar. Particularly liked the hotels approach to soap. Rather than wasteful packaging the had several bottles arranged in the corridor to borrow during your stay.
