The entrance of the carpatk is very tricky and we can t stop the car in front of the hotel to get instruction (no dropp off). We spent 20 mn roaming around in the streets. A plan and access details should be given to the customers coming with a car.

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property in general, although some rooms on one side of the building had a busy road outside, which could be noisy with the window open yet as most days were taken up by exploring the area, this wasn’t a big problem at all.

It was in a convenient location to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps, which was the sole purpose for our historical trip. The Hotel was modern, clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was my Son’s birthday during his stay and the staff had very kindly prepared a nice birthday message and a celebration cake for him when he returned to his room that day. He was so pleased at the discovery. :)

Our twin room was clean and we had a great view. It was also quiet during bedtime and the air condition in the room worked perfectly fine. The staff were helpful, acquiring us taxi and letting us leave our luggages after checking out.

It was perfect no complaints.

We travelled by train from Krakow to stay near the Auschwitch and Birkenau Museum. It was a 45min express train journey from Krakow Glowny and then 15zl/£3 taxi trip to hotel. It was an extremely comfortable and clean hotel, walking distance to some small cafes and restaurants in the small market square. Breakfast had great choice too. We then travelled by taxi for 20zl or £4 to the museum the following day.

Its not something that I would consider it a minus, but would be very useful to add a mini fridge in the room, especially when will be warm outside.

The location is central and quiet. The breakfast is varied. Everything was perfect. Parking is safe at the location.

The hotel is placed right on the main street and is visible from a lot of directions, but it’s a bit awkward to find the drive route to it.

Typical Hilton! They know the business and they run it extremely well. Everything was as expected at the hotel of this class. Having to pay for parking at their own property was slightly disappointing, but not very expensive at all. Restaurant was good, staff is super friendly and courteous.

We booked Hampton by Hilton as we had organized a tour the following morning to Auschwitz. The hotel is approximately 35 mins walk to Auschwitz or 5-7 mins by taxi. (It is also approx 1 hour drive from Katowice airport) There is some retail stores close to the hotel (in a small retail park). Hotel is centrally located, staff were very kind, friendly and helpful and the receptionist Malwina arranged private transfer from Katowice airport to the hotel late at night. Room was spacious, clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, great choice for everyone and very fresh. The receptionists also recommended us places to eat and so did our taxi driver. We visited Portobello Italian Restaurant for late lunch which was excellent and approx 15 mins walk from the hotel. I would return again to stay at Hampton by Hilton, I highly recommend it. We enjoyed our short stay and a special thank you to Malwina for all your help regarding the transfer to the hotel.

Minor issue. I know I am in a foreign country and English is not the native language but had no channel, cable or otherwise in English and no facility to “Connect” to the tv with any of our mobile devices.

From the outset the reception staff would mention the hotel’s rating was only three stars but the room, staff and the facilities punched well above its weight. Easily overshadowed 4 star accommodation stayed at previously on our journey. Breakfasts included were varied and easily satisfied both in taste and range. Rooms were comfortable and bed was exceptional. Navigation from the hotel to various points of interest was easy. Staff from the waitstaff at breakfast to the cleaners to the front desk were all friendly and greeted you each and every time with a smile.
